About NexCurve

Growth, transition and renewal.

NexCurve helps leaders, teams and organisations understand what should be carried forward, see what must change and build capability for what comes next.

Why NexCurve exists

Prepare for the next phase before the present curve loses momentum.

Growth rarely moves in a straight line. A period of effort and learning eventually produces momentum, yet even a successful curve reaches a point where yesterday’s strengths are no longer sufficient for tomorrow’s demands.

NexCurve exists to help leaders, teams and organisations work with that transition deliberately. Development begins by understanding the current context, the relationships shaping performance and the wider conditions that enable or constrain change.

The aim is practical and sustainable development: stronger leadership judgement, healthier collective work and systems that continue to learn.

The blue first curve and red next curve meet in one continuing story.

The story of two curves

The next curve grows from the foundation of the first.

The blue curve represents Jimmy’s first professional curve: more than three decades in the Singapore Prison Service and Singapore Public Service. It holds the discipline of operational leadership, the responsibility of developing people and the practice wisdom gained from working with teams, organisations and complex systems.

The red curve represents the next expression of that work. It is not a rejection of the first curve and not simply retirement. It is a refiring: bringing experience, lessons and professional practice forward with renewed energy and purpose.

The curves intersect because genuine renewal does not begin from nothing. New growth draws from what has already been learned while creating space for different possibilities.

Mount your next while the present curve is still strong.

A systemic approach

People, relationships and context are connected.

Leaders

Leadership behaviour shapes conversations, ownership, learning and the capacity of others to grow.

Teams

Trust, dialogue, roles and collective responsibility shape how individual capability becomes shared performance.

Systems

Culture, structures and organisational conditions influence what people can sustain beyond an intervention.

Founder and Principal Consultant

Jimmy Lee

A public-service leader, leadership and organisation-development practitioner, facilitator, professional coach and systems thinker.

Jimmy’s practice is grounded in more than three decades of leadership and public service with the Singapore Prison Service. His career has spanned operational leadership, organisational learning, leadership development, coaching culture, communications, stakeholder engagement and capability building. Previous appointments and contributions include serving as Commandant of the Singapore Prisons Training Institute, Chief Coach of the Singapore Prison Service, Senior Principal Consultant with the Institute of Leadership and Organisation Development, and Senior Director in the organisation now known as Yellow Ribbon Singapore.

That breadth matters because Jimmy understands leadership from inside the system. He has experienced responsibility, competing priorities, organisational constraints and the need to deliver through people. He also understands that sustainable performance depends on more than an individual leader’s competence: team relationships, culture, structures and wider system conditions shape what becomes possible.

He creates conditions for people to pause, examine assumptions and understand the patterns influencing their challenge, then translate insight into practical and sustained action.
